Chambre is a study of the body outside any exceptional moment, in the plain continuity of private life. A man moves through a bedroom while his companion lies on the bed. He might have just come back from training, stepped out of the shower, or be getting ready to sleep. Across fifty self-portraits made over several months, Imeros places the same body in the same room again and again: a door, a towel, a bedspread, the changing light. The camera takes the place of someone who already knows this body. That unseen witness is never shown and never defined, so viewers can make it a partner, a stranger, a past lover or a future one. The bedroom becomes an architecture of proximity, the one place where you can watch another person without having to explain why. The absent companion is the other half of every frame.
